Why I’m writing, what you’ll find here, and who this space is for.

by Jenny

I’m writing from the passenger seat—literally and metaphorically. Cancer put me here. Life kept driving. And somewhere along the way, I started paying better attention.

This isn’t a “journey” blog. It’s not tidy or triumphant or neatly wrapped in pink bows. It’s a record of what’s real. Essays from the raw places: diagnosis, identity, grief, faith, family, gender, and tiny everyday miracles that still somehow show up.

I’m a woman who’s lost body parts to save her life—and found a sharper voice in the process. I’m also a combat veteran’s spouse, a working mom, a believer in God’s wide and wild love, and a bit allergic to bullshit.

Updates from the Passenger Seat is where I write to stay human. It’s for anyone sitting in their own metaphorical passenger seat—watching life blur past, wondering what’s next, and trying not to disappear in the process.

All are welcome here, just as you are.
